The highly interactive course explains the purpose and benefits of an OH&S audit, and uses a case study and workshop approach to explore how to plan, conduct, report and follow up an audit of an OH&S management system to determine conformity with ISO 45001.

The course was the first of its kind to meet the CQI and IRCA PR357 course specification ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor (Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems).

Delegates will receive a CQI & IRCA ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certificate on successful completion of the course. Evaluation is by continuous assessment and an examination on the final day.

On completion of this course delegates will be able to:

- plan, develop and implement an internal or external audit process supporting their organisation’s OH&S policy
- conduct professional ISO 45001 audits, gathering objective evidence, interviewing, and creating document trails, to provide factual audit reports
- contribute to continuous improvements to the OH&S programme
- identify hazards and understand the risk assessment process
- develop their own skills, techniques and competence as an auditor
- assess compliance of an organisation to meet their organisation’s own internal or external OH&S requirements
- Attendance - Full attendance is required during the training course.
- Continuous Assessment - The Learner is assessed during course delivery based on participation and performance throughout the duration of the course. This includes all exercises, role plays, case study and all other activities during the course.
- Final Examinations - There is a two-hour OHSMS Auditor Examination at the end of the course.

*Successful completion of this OHSMS ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor course will satisfy the training requirements for IRCA certification to all grades of OHS Management System Auditor.
